NIA NDA After School Program

The NIA Neighborhood Development Area After School program at P.S. 247 and I.S. 281 provides educational instruction, assistance, and support that enables students to succeed academically.

The NIA’s Youth Educational Support Program at P.S. 247 and I.S. 281 aims to improve students’ academic performance, especially those students with serious barriers to achievement, in core subject areas through after-school learning activities delivered by a qualified staff focusing on the essential activities of Homework Help and Tutoring, supplemented by the support activities of
Peer Counseling and Youth Social, Cultural, and Recreational Services.
