NIA Sponsors Senior Proms

The NIA sponsored two "Senior Proms" at Micali Terrace that brought together 500 senior citizens from the community. Funded by grants from Assemblyman Peter Abbate and Councilman Vincent Gentile, and chaperoned by volunteers from the NIA's OST After School program at I.S. 281, the event was a rousing success and enjoyed by all the seniors.

The seniors obtained their tickets to this free event by participating (and winning!) various contests at their local senior center. All the party goers came dressed in their best suits and dresses and enjoyed their evening of dinner and dancing.
