Free Family Services

At NIA, we offer a wide range of free services and specialized programs to support parents and families. All are designed to help you strengthen family bonds, develop practical parenting skills, and build a supportive community. 

Discover a wealth of family services with NIA in partnership with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD) tailored for Brooklyn communities.

We are an inclusive community! Our services are open to everyone - mothers, fathers, and caregivers from all walks of life, raising children of all ages. We believe in community-driven solutions, working together to enrich your life and your children’s lives.

Spotlight: Parenting Journey

Join our 12-week course to connect with fellow parents, shape your parenting style, and build a supportive community. Engage in hands-on activities and guided discussions, developing practical knowledge and skills that empower you as a parent and role model.

Parenting Journey

Discover a path of connection, community, and growth. Join our 12-week course, connecting with fellow parents, shaping your parenting style, and building a supportive community. Engage in hands-on activities, guided discussions, and developing practical knowledge, and skills that empower you as a parent and role model.

Parenting Journey in Recovery

Recognize your strengths as a parent while focusing on your recovery journey. Join our 14-week course designed to equip parents with essential tools and resources to confidently navigate both parenting and recovery. Foster a positive environment for you and your child while gaining valuable support and fellowship along the way.

Parent Advisory Committee

Join the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) to share ideas, grow as a leader, and shape NIA programs. Connect with caregivers, promote parent education, and make a difference in your community!

New Moms Group

This program is for mothers with children aged newborn to 12 months. Our new mom group covers baby development, milestones in your baby’s first year, and tips for navigating motherhood. Connect with other mothers through engaging virtual and in-person meet-ups.

Private Family Support Session

Immerse yourself in engaging one-on-one private family support sessions that strengthen bonds within your family and are tailored to each family’s needs.

Healthy Families

Serving adults, parents, and families in Bedford-Stuyvesant, we provide family sessions, workshops, social services support, and assistance with education, employment, and more.
